Albstadt-Sigmaringen University is a state university of applied sciences located in the state of Baden-Württemberg in the southwest of Germany, which is spread on two campus between the towns of Albstadt and Sigmaringen. On Albstadt campus you will find our Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computing, while the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Life Science are located on Sigmaringen campus.
Once a pure engineering school, the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University has expanded its scope since beeing founded in 1971. Nowadays, with its four faculties and about 2.700 enrolled students, the university has developed into a vital part of the state's high-tech economy, focusing on advanced engineering and computer science courses as well as management modules that are closely geared towards the needs of local firms. This tends to ensure that graduates have excellent connections to regional companies when they leave.
The main characteristics in terms of eduction is the family atmosphere: Small study groups, help with finding a job, close contacts to companies and professors who take their time - this is what the Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen offers.
Practical orientation is very important at our university. The students are looked after as individually as possible and modern technical equipment is available for the studies and research. The Career Center offers help with internships or job searches, and the International Office supports students from abroad who want to gain international experience by studying in one of our degree programs. In addition, the university endeavors to make the study and working conditions family-friendly and is certified as a "family-friendly university audit".
